dull finish for stainless steel?

What can I do with my stainless hunting rifle to mask the stainless steel shine, other than camo tape??  :-\

Dunno what kinda rifle you have but most all of them (certainly ALL I've owned personally) came with a finish much more dull or in other words less reflective than any blued gun I've owned.

Just cuz the metal looks lighter to your eyes does not mean it's shiny or light reflective.

Any of the applied finishes can be put on, some of which are quite dull. the surface could be abrasive blasted to create a dull matte finish or even paint can be made to adhere. I have used powder coating for this several times and it works admireably but I have a good friend who owns the shop,,sooooo. Personnaly I've never spooked game with the glare or reflection from a metal surface. Most animals attention is attracted to motion and color or reflection of light is very secondary.
