How is the accuracy and function on the rossi .357 single shot rifles?  Are they hard to find?  What is the going rate for them?  Thanks

If memory serves me correctly I paid about $150 OTD for mine about 7 years ago.

Have no idea what one would be worth now.  Haven't seen any in gunshops or at shows that I can recall.

Function has been 100% reliable.  Not much on measuring group sizes, but I would say mine is capable of shooting around an inch or so at 50 yards.

I use it mostly as a "yard gun" for the occasional porcupine, skunk, coyote, etc that wanders too close to the house.  Also take it out for a plinking session now and then - it's a really fun gun for that.

Mine shoots 1.5" at 100 yards with both the hornady LE ammo and winchester white box 125gr sjsp with a Simmons pro diamond 4X32 on it. I think I paid around $139 for it about 10 years ago. It's a great brush gun and I have killed a few deer with it. I don't know what the availability of them are these days, but if you find some post where they are at I wouldn't mind getting another one for my son. I have never had a problem with it functioning other than the hammer spur came loose and moved enough to hit the release just enough to cause a ftf but once I figured out what had happened and moved it back to where it belonged no more problem.
