That looks just like something you see for sale on one of those high end auctions .

They look like they were made for each other made for each other .

Good work Zulu is it a replica of the origanal ?

Rocklock,
The style is a Zulu takeoff of a late 1600's Vauban Fortress carriage.  This carriage can be seen in Round Shot and Rammers on page 49.
It is the same style carriage I used in my Brtish light Six Pounders I made.

El Cazador,
If you decide to paint, you will have to first disassemble and strip the varnish off.  It wouldn't be too hard but should be done.

It is hard to imagine painting that beautiful natural finish, but now that it has been photographically preserved, I say go for it. The photos should be passed through the generations with the the rest.

El Caz,
So, Double D finally got to you, it's kind of like "Darth Vader," he's convinced you to go over to the opaque side. ;)
With this rig, its going to look sweet, whichever way you choose to go.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
