Check out this site:  http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/show.pl?group_id=26&cmd_accessories=1
Be Sure to look at the Bases/Moumts to get one with a "Stop", ANd also look at the Leapers Scopes.
A Regular rimfire scope will not Hold up to the Reverse Recoil of a RWS let alone any Air Rifle.
I just aquired a RWS 46 .22 and am looking myself.    Good Luck.  Paul

A good article on the subject...

" “It’s not an air gun scope?”  “No, why should I buy another scope for my air gun when I can use this one?” At that point he picked the gun up in disgust and rapidly swung it around to put it in his gun case. As he did so, a sound like glass rattling around inside a tin can could be clearly heard."

I always say never put a scope on a new springer until you put a box of pellets through it.  This always saves a lot of scopes from failing.  New Piston guns need to wear in a bit, before they settle down, and smooth out.  This is why you will read about scopes failing on new out of the box guns.

Some, so called are gun rated scopes will fall apart on guns like the Webly patriot, and Crow Magnum, and on other rifles.  That Webly I had was a great and very pretty gun, but it made my teeth hurt!!!!!!!!!  That's how bad the virbration was!  The actual recoil was not bad at all, but those vibes!!!!!!!!

I have used no airgun scope on well broke in piston rifles with no problem, and other times they zero shifted every time I shot them....   I used an old Bushnell custom 22 scope in 2 to 7 power with a 7/8 tube, and it held up fine on my FWB 124 for years and never zero shifted.

So you pay you money and take your chances, but you can always improve your odds, by breaking your rifle in first.

Ethan,

IMHO a rimfire scope will fail. I have a Beeman R7 .20 cal that was shipped with a Gamo 4x - it ultimately failed and would not hold a zero. I now have the RWS 3x9 Night Pro and it is performing very will. I have had it for about 18 months now and have shot 100 plus tree rats with it. I mounted the RWS with the Beeman 5031 Deluxe scope mount from cobraairguns. This mount really clamps tightly and holds the scope in place. The previous mount did not.

 Yes, if it's a Leupold.  :)

As I recall, all Burris scopes are also "airgun rated."
