45 long colt barrel for 1990 Pardner SB-1

My question is will that work?  Can I put a 45 long colt barrel on a 1990 Pardner SB-1 frame?  The Pardner has a 12 gauge 3 inch mag barrel on it now.  I looked in the FAQ and it says the pistol barrels will work on the SB-1 frames but I just want to be sure.

H&R won't but I think it would be ok if you did it, even +P loads are still well under 44mag pressures which are available on SB1 frames from the factory. Just makes sure it never gets rechambered to Casull or 460.

I'd go a little further than Tim although you could find yourself in trouble if you forget or loan it to someone else.

You can rechamber to Casull and it would give you slightly lower pressure with LC loads. Just be sure not to exceed the LC loading data.

Now if you do start pushing the limit or throw a factory Casull cartridge in, it could get exciting...or maybe not. I wouldn't try though.

So I found the time and put the 45 colt barrel on and it locked up just fine without doing anything to it.  Shot it yesterday and all was fine.  Thanks for the help, again.  I did have one more question, if I sell the 12 gauge barrel, whats a fair price for it.  I'm not sure what I want to do with it.
