See my comments on the other 94 thread.  I have sure been tempted but haven't gone for them.

Also find the Review Centre - air guns -  on line  and read for yourself.  Its a British site that has a whole list of air rifles and reviews. There are a lot of good reviews of the 94 but I would really pay attention to some of the not-so-good ones.  Those not-so-good ones sound like they are from experienced and knowledgable air gunners.

You might consider the BSA super sport.

I find thyem listed for about $195 to $220 depending on model - carbine or rifle - and dealer.  Type in BSA Supersport in google and see what you find.  I'm buying mine used for $150.

gilly,

The RWS M94 in either the .177 or .22 are very well made and accurate rifles.  RWS stands behind their products and will go out of their way to make you happy.  It all depends on what type of hunting you plan on doing as to what caliber is best.  Rule of thumb is the bigger the game the bigger the caliber.  If you are looking at a combo set up RWS supply's a good scope mount and a good scope with them.  I know a few people that have them and none have reported any problems with them.  The RWS 94 in .22 is what I wanted to get my daughter to replace the P.O.S. Gamo she had but she didn't want to spend that much money so I bought the Winchester.  I believe the RWS is the better of the two rifles.  Next time I get her what I think is best.  Lawdog

If you want a RWS airrifle then go to Airgun EXpress

and check out their RWS demo rifles they are reconditioned rifles with maybe a small ding or so but mostly like new all guns come with a new gun RWS warrenty  and the prices can't be beat. Go for the real gun and buy a RWS 34
in 177 for less than $200 its a actual german made gun. The 94 is a spanish made gun and the folks I have talked too who own them complain about a drastic los of power after 1-2000 shots fired the 34 is a MUCH better gun and at airgun expess You will pay less for it than a 94 else where. Just so you know the 93 is also spanish made and the 320 is a chinese made gun.
Not bad guns so to speak but not up to the quality of a german made rifle.
My first magnum airrifle was a 34 I kept that gun until I replaced it with a model 36 (same basic gun but in a bit nicer stock with a cheekpiece and recoil pad etc a delux model so to speak. I would recommend to you the airgun express demo model 34 for your first gun aprox $140 last time I looked. The BSA supersport is an excellent gun and I can't say enough good about it. If you deside to buy one of these you are getting an excellent airrifle and a great first gun if you have the extra money but $60 can buy a lot of 177 pellets . (BSa rund about $200)
