thinking on building a .17 remington.what size bolt fact should i look for? isn't the parent cartrige a .223 or .222?

Same as a .223, length is about the same. I built mine on a Savage short action, used a .223 magazine and it works out really well. Larry

Any action that will feed the 223 case will work for the 17Rem. I used a Rem 40x action and good luck on your project.
