i have the mag lite..but i ll have to say the cheap ones mentioned by the first poster are much better ,than the junk they use to be..
 sourdough.. i m gonna find out if i can predator hunt at night ,in n.c.
 that would seriously up my chances..slip outa bed about 3am an be back ,before the wife wakes up.. slim

OK. For the mounting I cut off the belled end of 1" plastic conduit that was just a tight fit over the Husky flashlights that Home Depot had marked down from $22 to $7(got several chrismas eve stocking stuffers.) Then split length wise so could easier slide light into then clamp tight with the holding strap. I used some black RTV to mold one side to the curvature of the barrel with 1/8" minimume closenes to barrel. This should make it nonslip along barrel and add shock resistance. Paint all nice and black and add velcro strap. Lights are about 135 lumens and light things up pretty good.

Slim, I've night hunted in NC with no problems. Just can not hunt after midnight Saturday, and beware of the spotlight laws.
