Perfect point.

The Repumpkinlins have currently become almost invisible. They better find some leadership. I think the strategy is more about simply being the party of opposition as opposed to a party of ideas. I think this is a political calculation that can pay off for the next election if the dumpocraps screw things up which they appear to be well on their way to doing. If they can gain in both houses, it does set them up to launch ideas. Let see. 2010 will be a telling year for the rep party. If they don't gain seats in both houses, they are screwed! The dems will claim a mandate and move into the next phase of social takeover. if the dems loose seats, in both houses, rep will claim victory against the democrat agenda and they will be able to reshape the political landscape. It really is critical that the rep gain share in both houses even know I hate the rep idiots. The alternatives are far worse.

We shall see.

A third party is a great idea as long as it is true to being a conservative/libertarian party! IMO

The republican party continues to cut off its nose to spite its face.  They have a great opportunity to grab the conservative base that is rising in this country, and what do they do?  They continue to throw support behind the more liberal republicans.  Look at the rep race in Kentucky.  The pubs have a great opportunity to back Rand Paul in that race, but instead, they back the other republican who used to be a democrat.  I guess the repubs feel that they still need a moderate republican to take back the house and senate.

I agree, they are idiots. They are letting the main stream media have to much influence over who they let run. What they are doing in KY is the sam ecrape they did in the last congressional seat iin New York. the dumb azzez backed a liberal and she eventually backed out and endorsed her democrate opponant!

Yep, and the fear that I have is that the republican support for president in 2012 is going to go to Newt Gingrich, John McCain, or one of the other liberal pubs.

Third Party yea right! Obamma and his henchmen drool everytime some one says third party, especially when Tea party and conservative is mentioned! Mark my words and mark this thread, I say the only way obama gets a second term is if some third conservative party blossoms and runs against obama and the republican nominee! Not my wish for it to happen but it will! Can anybody say ross perot!

I think your right when it comes to presidential elections. I would first like to see real true conservative 3rd party candidates running in congressional elections. Congress has more of an impact on our lives than any president.

There is certainly room for improvement there! I'm sorry, That, maybe the understatement of the century!!!!!!  I left it in for emphasis.  ;)

Those shmucks in Washington, and I include the repubniks, need to be cleansed from the earth with predjudice. They are Liars and do not care one damned bit about the people they"represent". The republicans sit there and and say how they like their democratic opponents but dont agree with the fact that they are destroying the country. The founding fathers are turning in their graves, hell we had a revolution over less than what is going on now! I'm about ready to start one myself!

Oldshooter, I think you are right as much as I dont like saying it. When I question how it should be done. Those that should (%&$'"KNOW%&$'") say. Pick the him/her you want to back and run him/her in the primarys in what ever party, with your full support. Bring him/her to the top.
From here it is up to the support in the state or district.
Get involved as best you can.
