Puma 92 Scope base

Anyone ever mount a scope on a Puma 92.  What base worked for you?

Midway had a scope mount, but it had bad reviews.  I've looked into this myself and I really think the best route is to buy the scout model with the scope mount already on it.

This is a link to the rifle, but the picture is incorrect.

Only real options since it's a top ejection gun are a side mount (horrible choice) or scout/forward mount (not much less than horrible in my opinion). With the scout mount you must use a handgun scope and they have such small FOV for the power to me I'd rather just use irons. Now a red dot or reflex sight mounted in the forward postion shouldn't have that side effect as they technically have no real FOV as such.

Now Bill, yer supposed to keep both eyes open with the scout mounted scope.  That way you have a better FOV than any other type of scope.  I know it's hard to get used to for us old farts, but if ya can it's very fast.  DP
