SEASON'S GREETINGS TO ALL
« on: December 24, 2009, 05:41:23 PM »

When I went to my cardiologist 2 weeks ago, I thought I was going to be taken out of circulation and away from my computer for a while and unable to wish you all a joyful and healthy season this evening.  I don't own a lap top and I don't think they rent computers there but I am still happy :D (not healthy :-\ ) and home ::) with the wood stove glowing and the fireplace roaring (so much for Santa and the chimney bit).

Here's our tree with the 354 ornaments that I hand painted (like an idiot) over the years. I have 119 more to go.

It's almost midnight and I've  got to hit the hay. Tomorrow morning I prepare breakfast with my homemade kielbasa and my wife's babka and black bread but with boughten eggs and horseradish. We ate the chickens (they wouldn't lay) and the garden failed too.

I especially want to thank the powers that lurk behind the scenes and make this site possible and to cannonmn, without whom, we would have ALOT LESS to savor.

Eat your heart out John :'( and make due with your store boughten kielbasa ;D

PEACE ON EARTH AND GOOD WILL TO ALL (as difficult as it may seem at times).

Merry Richard,

When it comes to eating my own heart, and/or kielbasa, for that matter, I usually, quickly transmogrify into a vegetarian, so we’ll probably just go with scrambled eggs and pancakes for breakfast on this fine, but wet (it rained all last night, and is still going at it) Christmas morning.

I’m wishing you, and your wife and daughter, a very Merry Christmas; with some special thoughts going out to you, and Allen (KABAR2) on this Christmas day. Merry Christmas to all of you on this forum, and also to all those that aren’t. Peace and love to all of humanity.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

Richard,

Merry Christmas to you and your family and to all of us that frequent this forum.

I coould not help but admire your tree.  Thirty-six years ago my wife and I celebrated our first Christmas in our own place.  We found wooden ornaments that you had to paint in a five and dime store.   We bought boxes of the things and had such a good time painting them and hanging them on OUR tree.  We still have several of them but many have fallen prey to pets that like to take things off the tree and play/destroy them.  Wish we could find them again.  Any way just wanted to thank you for the wonderful memories that you brought back to me.

As Tiny Tim said; God bless us every one.
