Ok, I have to go in and change my statement, to make it fit this forum........when I said that there were "no cannons", I was referring to public displays of cannons, mortars, or howitzers. I lived in, worked in, and traveled around the Long Beach area extensively for over 35 years, and never saw a cannon displayed. I went to LA, San Pedro, the Garrisons there, where ever, even Knott's Berry Farm, (lol) and never saw one. Now, that doesn't mean that private individuals didn't own or have them, just I never saw them. Hence, my comment about being no cannons there. And, the book mentioned with 250 cannons listed in California, I wish I had known about that one, I would have gone searching! Again, my point was made, you learn something new every day on this forum! BoomLover
