I just got back from the upper Mich UP.I go up there several times a year for the last 30 yrs.now when the pesky little mosquitos are gohn.
I been setting up Deer camp and a little gold prospecting.It is beautifull country,a good place to walk.Nobody much cares what your doing as long as you behave.I made good friends up there.
Coming down this morning I got a light dusting of snow but the temp is still fairly warm just right for me.I dont dress warm just a flanel shirt and carry a Jacket.
The last couple of years I came across wolf that were reintrodused up there.I have noticed the the deer population is getting thin in the erea I hunt.I know the heavy snowes and cold winters get a lot of them,but in the last couple winters it has been fairly mild.
I have found a few standing dead in deep snow in the past,but not in the last two years.
Let me know how many of you snow shoe in the winter.The UP is a beautifull place in the winter.the snow gets deep in the bush,dont know how deep for sure,but I have come upond cabins were you walk right over the roof.
