What would you say the best load for a .270 for bear is?(In Pa).

remington core-lokt is a good shell. Try one of the higher grains.
Or if you want a better shell....go with the Winchester Partitions. once again, higher grain. I usually use the same load for bear as i do for deer. Which is either 150 or bigger.

If you don't reload yet Federal loads the 150 grain Nosler PT in the .270 Win. This is one super round and I highly recommend it. If you do load then use the Nosler 150 PT or I think they even make a 160 PT also for the round. Trophy Bonded Bear Claws, Winchester Fail Safe and if your rifle will shoot them the Barnes X in 150-165 grain weights would all do just fine.
