I heard a good one on the radio:
A president with a 42% approval rating is trying to get a body of government with a 28% approval  rating to approve a bill that 61% of the country doesn't want.

I don't remember the exact percentages he used but you get the idea.

The religious leaders won't give up power.  They will do the same thing they did to get into power.  it worked the first time and will work again.  They will line dissidents up and start shooting them in public.  Young men and women alike, anyone that speaks out.  And in a few weeks everyone will again learn to keep their mouths shut and vote as they are told.

Remember the young started the revolution against the Shea, then the religious leaders saw their chance to takd over and did in a rather brutal fashion that works.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Carter allowed the Wahabists to waltz in and take over Iran when he refused to back the Shah. He could have prevented the Wahabist take over of Iran and all it's oil  being used to finance Islamic terrorism, simply by backing the Shah in a very minor way... Had he done so, he may well have nipped this whole Wahabist surge in the bud..before it even got a good start.
BHO has a golden opportunity to help give the present totolatarian regime the boot.

After the first Gulf war, RFE encouraged the kurds in Iraq to rebel against Hussein (the other Hussein)..Bush #41 hesitated and didn't do it with all due haste. He blew the chance to possibly topple old Saddam. The Democrats excoriated him for years because he didn't "strike while the iron is hot" and get rid of Saddam Hussein.
Shouldn't these same people be now giving trhe Democrats a really hard time , because of the pres' failure to "strike while the iron is hot" and remove this virulent cancer from Iran ?

i think of the published photos of the protesters. as soon as the regime can identify them they will die. newsmen do no favors publishing the pictures of those people.

Apparently these protests have been taking place since the recent elections. The protestors believe "they was robbed" in that election...

they are fed up with their leadership..not very uncommon in that part of the world. as far as we go...riots are coming if the course is not changed and obama shows no sigh of changing anything. if the dollar collapses as many very smart people predict it will, it if this course we are on is not changed, there will be widespread killing going on.

most likely if you can read this you have guns. if you do not i suggest you go buy one and plenty of ammo. things in the united states could really be very bad and the unarmed or weak and afraid will be the first taken out.

if you pay very close attention, as i do, to just what is going on in the financial sectors you will see that our nation is on the verg of total collapse propped up by endless printing of paper dollars. that combined with the government buying all fannie and freddie bad loans with treasurys. putting us the taxpayers on the hook for it all. it is a house of cards and the first little wind could bring it all down. when it does and all services stop and the people are starvibg....well you get the picture.

According to their own words, those ME leaders would not stop ay Israel. Remember the "big satan"/"little satan" scenario ?
Right now as I see it, Israel is simply our MLR in this east/west war of survival.
