CVA accura one piece base
« on: December 27, 2009, 08:17:16 AM »
I have a CVA accura with Weaver 2 piece bases. I have tried 3 different scopes and have to crawl the stock with all of them. I got a Simmons Atec 2.8X10 for Christmas with 3.5" of eye relief and its alot better than the others but I still need to move the scope back a little. I can't find a one piece base with multiple slots. Anyone know of a base with the multiple slots. Thanks, Don

See the sticky on scope bases, Durasight has two piece integral base/rings that appear to be able to be used offset.

Those are great choices but I would like to use my Burris Z rings with the inserts if possible. I was hoping to find a one piece base with multiple slots. Don

I've cut additional slots in aluminum Weaver one piece bases, I think you could do the same with the Durasight 1-pc base which takes weaver style rings, I've filed and hacksawed, even cut them with a carbide table saw blade.

Tim, I hadn't thought of that. I have access to a milling machine so that would be an easy fix. Thanks, Don

Go to E. Arthur Brown .com and they have bases that are perfect for the  C V A E .
