can't check e-mails ..msn,yahoo

 i have a situation goin on with my puter .i cant check my emails or place an order on line .my son has a laptop through the same system and on it i can do it all.connection diognosis problem ,,or something like that pops up when i try on my home setup.. anyone got any ideas whats up with that.. help if you can :)

Do you have a Linksys tied in to your home computer ? If so unplug the hot wire in the back of it for 15 seconds or so and let it reset. Plug it back in and hopefully your problem will be solved. I have that problem and just showed my friend how to reboot his.
