« on: December 27, 2009, 09:10:08 AM »
My two sons both have 204 handi rifles they recieved for christmas. I will be koading ammo for them and my only experience with the 204 is with a ruger No 1. What weight bullets have you handi guys found shoots best in them. Also do you have a preferance  on powder?

If I were you I would start with the 34gr Midway Dogtown bullets, if they shoot good you will save a lot of money.  The 20gr 17's shoot really well for me in my 17 FB.  Larry

Since you mention 2 boys 2 guns I would recommend the MidSouth bulk 204's they appear to be the same 34gr that the Midway Dogtowns are and they are a >site sponsor< bullets are very reasonably priced food for the boys and the Dog Towns are very accurate out of my 204. Kurt

I've loaded 32 gr. Hornady V-Max and 40 gr. Nosler BT and so far the 32 gr. V-Max is showing tighter groups.
Ramshot TAC is the powder I've chosen for my .204 Ruger Bull Barrel.
I got a box of Midway's 34 gr. Dogtown bullets for Christmas. If they work out I'll probably be getting a "big" box of the 34 gr. Midsouth Varmint Nightmare X-Treme .204 bullets.

I have been shooting the 39 sierras since I could get them.

Had good results with both 32 and 39 hornadys and 35 bergers for fur, but the 40gr noslers shot like crap for me.
