American Ride
« on: December 27, 2009, 03:56:56 PM »
I heard /saw Toby Keith's video of "American Ride" today for the first time! I think you guys would appreciate it, even if you dont like Toby Keith or country music!

You gotta love Toby Keith, I have since the first time I heard "Boot in your ass"

I don't know how to find it, but we need some popular country songs with lyrics like "screw the government / I'm sick of them rapin' my babies" or words to that effect.

Perhaps like this:

Thanks oldshooter and questor.
I like Toby Keith. I don't much care for the rock in his songs but love the simplicity and honesty in the words.
Blessings

which explains playing for "o" , I dont think hes Dem and dont think hes Rep,  I think he is American.

From his songs and such I seriously dont think he is a socialist, He does not need me to defend him, and I wont, just watch the video!

The funniest thing is, he was on a special YESTERDAY, and he IS a registered Democrat, and WAS, and IS, against the war in Iraq. He SAID, I think it was a mistake to go into Iraq.
I agree with that part of his analogy, and I believe him to be patriotic in the sense that he like I, support the TROOPS, but not the war.

Well I cheecked it out and I was wrong , he is a life long Democrat by his own words, But i like the music anyway and the liberals hate him, also by his own words, and call him a right winger, so I guess if it walks like a duck....

Mark this day down, I rarely make a mistake, thought I had made a mistake the other day but............I was mistaken!    ;D

it is easy to forget that many Democrats are in fact "Patriots" and do love this Country. It is the far left so called progessives in that party that are dragging it down. Toby is not a Socialist and has no respect for Communist types.

He respects and honors our troops and the sacrifice they make every day for us. I just wish more Democrats would stand up against the way their party is going. I can not help but think many will. Obama has stained the name Democrat and so have Reid and Pelosi and for that they will lose bigtime in the coming elections.

Just a note on Party affiliation, There have been at least 7 in Hardin County this year that have announced they are leaving the Democratic party and will run as Republicans in the next elections, and I heard of at least 3 in Liberty county doing the same. Around these parts in the past you could not get elected dog catcher as a republican, These folk feel that the Democratic party has "left them" Has anyone else heard of such in their area?

I guess i can hijack my own thread?  ::)

AH-HUUUUM  DEE:  There is two of us perfect ones.  You and me, the rest are so so.  But Oldshooter is coming along.  Give him time.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

In an interview Toby Keith said more or less that he would do what ever it took to sell records. Apeal to sensitivities reguardless of what he thinks or believes. He was refering to his "good ole boy" listeners. eddiegjr

Oldshooter, I would like to think that these Democrats of your area are changing for the good, but I am not a trusting man. I believe it is more likely they expect a voter rebellion against the Democratic party in your area, and are making the change as a matter of survival of THEIR CAREER.
If I lived in your area, I would be more for checking THEIR VOTING RECORDS, which is by the way PUBLIC RECORD. "VOTING RECORDS" ARE THE TRUE TALE OF THE TAPE. Besides that, I haven't seen many Republicans worth supporting in years. They have voting records too, and most of the time their speeches are NOTHIN like their records. Their counting on you NOT LOOKING.
I received an email this morning from a friend that is supporting a CHRISTIAN CONSTITUTIONALIST CANDIDATE, for a run against our State Rep. Ralph Hall. Hall has been in office TWENTY EIGHT YEARS, and his voting record is not at all the way he portrays himself. At the last Tea Party here in my County Seat, he attended. He's running scared, and as you know Kay Bailey wants out of D.C. and into the Texas Governor's office. Not if I can help it!
