The "Judge" / "Defender," whatever...
« on: December 28, 2009, 06:06:08 AM »
My oldest boy came around for the holidays and showed me the new Taurus he bought.  I'm pretty sure he called it the "Defender" model of the Judge.  It sported a bobbed hammer, shortened grip and about a 1.75 inch barrel.  It actually felt lighter and more compact then my medium frame 44 Mag. Tracker.  Good trigger also.

Looking down the cylinder I can tell you one thing, that throat is LONG for the 45 colt!   :o  But he said it shot commercial jacketed bullets well.  He also said he was pleasantly supprised at the grouping he got with the .410 shooting buckshot (3) rounds.  I'll reserve judgement until I shoot it myself.   ;) :D

Anyone can have an off day.
Go get some high test coffee and you will be back on your game.
OR.
You need to stop hanging around all the Baby Lawyers.  They are dumbing you down and dulling your whit.
Happy New year Richard.  Sir.

I don't suspect you make a "practice" of running down ambulances, but maybe it would get the blood flowing and help get the edge back... ::)

I agree. I'm only 25, but I inherited my fathers hard head, and I believe that my 19 month old daughter has inherited mine.

Your son's weapon is the Public Defender.  It's in the Judge family, but it's built on the Model 85 frame, making for a smaller, more concealable gun.  If you go to the Taurus website you'll be able to view a short video extolling the guns virtues, along with some range footage.  Neat little gun.

Your son's weapon is the Public Defender.

He should shoot it well then.   :-\  He's got lots of experience with public defenders...  ::)
