What is actual price on barrel.
« on: December 28, 2009, 06:21:04 AM »
What is the actual price of getting a barrel from H&R The price says 65. Since they want your credit card number I am trying to figure out the actual price b/c when they have your card they can add what they want. Any charge for fitting or anything? I am looking at the 12 Gauge 24" with screw in chokes.

Read the order form after you download it, you must pay return shipping, plus the fitting fee, and tax if applicable.

They no longer charge for that, they only did that for some apparently in error and quit, I think it may have been something they charged for on Remington firearms and Madison just automatically charged some H&R customers too.

Just buy one from the classifieds on here and fit it yourself.
No tax, no fitting charge, no shipping, no hassles. ;)
Alot of times $50 bucks or less will buy a nice barrel on here.

I posted a want to buy and in less than two days had response for the exact barrel I was looking for. The fitting was easy just read the faqs. I had a dermel stone bit that I used in my cordless drill it fit the pivot point perfectly. It took about 15 minutes lock up is tight with no side to side movement. I had a synthic stock and forend from a regular contour rifle barrel, so I wrapped some sand paper around a piece of 3/4" copper pipe and sanded the forend to fit the 20ga barrel.
