Those are some fine Encores. Absolutely beautiful. I just have one silly question. Wouldn't you get into some trouble if the wrong somebody saw a barrel 16 inches or longer with a pistol grip on it ? I thought they had to have a rifle stock on them with that length. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have seen many Encore with barrels longer than 16" being shot as pistols.   The only stipulation that I can find is that a RIFLE can have a barrel NO SHORTER than 16" with an overall length of more than 26".

This is my 50AK that I shoot as a pistol and a rifle.

Thats it ! I had it worded wrong.

Anyone interested in "Hanger Bars" should contact:

http://www.strattoncustom.com/

Give him a call and tell him what barrel configuration you have and he'll provide you with the correct hanger bar. He will also rework your factory forends to accomodate the hanger bars. He does great work.

Welp I put a few rounds through her lastnite and she is most definately a hand cannon. The recoils wasnt as bad as I thought it would be as a matter of fact it's not as bad as my 629. The first couple times I fired her it was to see what the trigger and recoils was like. The trigger will be reworked for sure, it's not really bad but I like a lite trigger. The recoil wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It had a little muzzle rize but nothing that cant be handled. I thought once the trigger was pulled it would kick like a Bull , NOT. Hell the muzzle flash was worse than the recoil ( Purdy). Now to the next stage , Im wanting a SS fluted 15" 243 barrel, Packy grips to put a sling on it cause shes got some weight to her, a 2.5 to 3lbs trigger and either a Burris or Nikon silver scope. I bought a TC base yesterday to put a scope on her to get a fill for that too but Im not sure if I wanna stick with that style of base. Im wanting low rise rings but that all comes in when I make up my mind on the scope too. I do know Im wanna go with the 3 rings deal . That'll add a little bling when that buck feels the sting. Then to the range once I find a load for it . Im gonna also pick up a ML barrel and scope combo for ML season. I'll be the next Jim Shockey / Larry Wiseman in 2010! Happy New Years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one of them too, but it isn't a Contnender.  It is a TC Patriot.  Mine is a .45.  When I bought mine it was listed on line as a Scout (np picture).  The seller sent me most of my money back when I pointed out the error.  I have never shot mine, and I don't think anyone else has either.  It came without a ram rod, and a call to TC had them send me two of them and some assorted parts.  They said I got the last of the Patriot parts they had.
