bullet "thru" choke tube,,,what happens?

wel it is not good
the best is the it wont shoot worth a hill of beans.
it can make it imposible to remove the choke ever again
raise the pressure or act like a obstruction in the end of the barrel

It cracked the choke down the middle, but not the barrel.  I am sure that with the right load it will blow up the barrel, I got lucky.  Personallt, I DO NO LIKE THIS SYSTEM.  I have talked about it on here, and have E-Mailed Thompson.  A better system, would be to have a semi-external choke, like a Turkey choke for 12 gauge, one that you could see clearly to identify the choke being in.  The present system is stupid and very dangerous.

you are flirting with disaster if you do this. You could experience anything resulting from excessive pressures caused by this. It is totally unpredictable and not advisable. The system, in my opinion is safe and rather usefull for close range and this statement is not made to bash anyone. I am just conscious of what goes in my chamber and what conditions are present. I've been in gun shops and seen shotgun barrels that were bulged from suposedly shooting too close to snow covered branches. Anything can happen and during one time or another, will happen so use your barrel as designed and remove the choke for bullets, even cast slugs. Try some anti-seize compound on the threads for easy removal too. Rather than lose my choke wrench in the field, I made one from Brownells Acragel, it's hard as concrete and I have it attached to my hunting jacket zipper. Just a hint.

never would do it intentionally,,just wondered what broke when someone might have accidentally done it.

I carry my wrench with me when hunting. if i should loose it  that is not a problum for me. the T/C combo tool has a choke wrench on it and i have two of them.

the little tang for a lanyard on my Gerber Multi-pliers works okay also..
