I added the .45/.410 barrel to my existing .410 so I could shoot the .45lc. I had a gunsmith drill and tap for weaver mounts and have also added a "better" Tasco 3x12x40 scope. Before I go too far into the story, I do have a better quality scope to try out (Bushnell Elite 3200) if I cannot turn things around with the Tasco. My problem is unreliable accuracy. I am all over the place at 50 yards from a bench. The ammo I am using is Collins Cartridge remanufactured from Texas. I also will be trying another factory load to be sure. My basic question is has anyone else shot the 45/410 Survivor, and what were your results? I shot competition in High School and belong to a range that I shoot at very often. Also avid hunter and shoot thouands of rounds each year. It's not the shooter.
Also wondering if anyone has used the .45+p in the sb1 case. There is a 79% increase in pressure from the standard load to the +p, but even at +/- 20,000 CUP I feel the receiver could take it. They are quite stout afterall. Before I do anything I need to tackle the accuracy issue. Ideas? Comments?
