.357 mag 200gn lead load
« on: December 29, 2009, 03:53:27 AM »
Has anyone used 200gn lead SWC or RNFP in their .357 mag ?  I am looking for a bit more knockdown for bowling pins,  more clear the table power. The old Enfield .38 used a 200gn lead bullet for more knockdown. At present I'm using 158 SWC with 6.0gns of ADI AP70N ( Hodgdon's Universal). - Pete

Pete,

Try using either IMR4227 12.0g to 13.4g or H110/W296 12.5g to 13.2g

I prefer 4227, just my personal choice due to cleaner burning.
