Yup, just like Spanky said, there are links in the FAQs on doing just that including crown work.  ;) A heavy tubing cutter makes a nice even cut, I've cut two smoothies with one.  ;)

On a smooth bbl shotgun I use a pipe cutter. Mark where I want to cut than add 1/4 and cut it. I then use a flat file to dress up the end of the bbl, and a round chainsaw file to take the burrs out of the inside of the bbl. HTH.

I much prefer the hacksaw/file method. Cut it as square as you can. The mount it in a vice using a level and file the barrel square. Using a good file, that same level and a small square...

I have seen far too many barrels ruined with a pipe cutter... If your too heavy handed you will crimp the barrel where you cut it... not good.

i  use  a carpenter framing square  and  a file  after cutting

cut a wooden spacer the length  of the barrel  not counting the chamber area

so  the  non-parralell  parts of the  barrel  wont touch the square
