Ok, I am looking to buy an in-line. After doing a lot of reading I want one the uses 209 primers(don't really want one that requires disks). I want to use sabot bullets(maybe, if they turn out to be the most accurate?). I like the idea behind the T/C Omega but the trigger guard isn't made for a guy with big fingers. What would you recommend and why? Lawdog

There's nothing wrong with the Omega trigger! When sitting in your hunting chair, we are not supposed to have our shooting finger in the trigger guard.

With the Omega, when you see a deer, your right thumb can easily pull back the "silent" 209 primer hammer -- which opens-up the Omega trigger guard to fit a very large finger.

I have read a 1/2 dozen posts complaining about how the Omega trigger obstructs a shooting finger. That's far from the truth! From now on, I'm going to reply to every post that condemns the size of the Omega trigger/guard.

I disagree with that one, T7. That thing tortured my shooting hand fingers. You would have had to have been there. :shock:

And I'll follow you around and counter everything you say about that trigger guard.

You gotta have some mighty big shootin' fingers to not be able to enter that trigger guard with the hammer in full cock. Also, where does pain enter this topic... unless you hunted in cold weather with a barren shootin' finger. Man... I read somewhere that you are a big guy. Gotta put those fingers on a steady diet. No more "Finger-lickin' g-o-o-d"!!!

I just purchased a CVA 50 caliber Hunterbolt at Gander Mountain on Sunday. It uses no discs, has a 26" nickel barrel, advantage cammo stock and for $149. I shot it yesterday and at 50 yards with open sights, an 80 grain charge of 777 and a sabot with a Lee 230 grain, home cast semi wadcutter, placed all my shots under an inch.
