I had one of those fake Ivory grips from Ruger on a >357 Bisley I bought used.  It broke when firing the 180 grain ammo.  Inside panel broke at the nurl nut.  I sent Ruger a e-mail asking if it was covered by their warranty.  They e-mailed me to call parts to get the parts needed.  So today I called, and explained it was a used gun and asked if it was covered?  He asked for the serial # which I supplied.  Come to find out the gun did not ship with those grips, the previos owner put them on.  So now we have a used gun with although Ruger grips, not the issue.  I expected to be told they could not help me, and I would not have blamed them.  Low and behold they said they would send me the grips and to just send them back the broken ones. :o  I am one happy camper and Ruger is fine with me. 8)

sounds good  ive delt withthe C/S 3 times and have been happy with all they did  all three times,

This was the first I have had to deal with them for me personnely, like a stated, I would not have been offended if they had said no way.  They are OK in my book. 8)

  Now why not go and buy something from them as a sign of saying "thank you".  ;)

  Having heard of this grip split before, it's most often caused by the grip screw being over tightened. Just sayin'.

  As it's a Bisley, none came with any grip material other than wood.  Some Bisley Vaqueros models did have the fake ivory ones though.

  Also, check and find a Ruger "warrantee"  there isn't one.

With this kind of customer support, a warranty isn't needed. 8)

I Broke my 22\45. I sent it back to ruger. They fixed it for free, cleaned it and shot it. They have an very good customer support!!!!!
I have to many guns to list.

I have a SBH that the barrel turned on. Ruger said send it in and fixed it no charge. I bought it brand new but it was about 10 yrs. old at the time.

Well the new grips arived, and didn't fit. ???  I thought I read were they have changed grip makers.  The grips were so small the frame stuck out 1/16 almost all the way around.  I traced an outline of the old grip panel then traced the new one inside it and sent both grips back to Ruger.  Will let you know how this works out. 8)
