Good luck, I'm heading out also, but not like you...

Left Eugene Tuesday afternoon> Made it as far as Woodburn before the big city snow emergency stopped us. Inch of slush wet snow in Portland Metro area! Drove from Woodburn to St Regis yesterday.  Only a did a couple of minor whoop-t-doos driving the columbia gorge. No contact so kept going.   Kept the pillow over my head as the wife drove  over Lookout pass.  Stopped in St Regis for the night...bare ground here.

Now how to get to Cut Bank from here....200 from Missoula to 1-15 in the winter time is scary...roads usually not to bad...but the idiot factor is high among drivers...I'm going to Kalispell

Hope you get some goood cats...post us  some pictures!

It was a bust there are at least 3 other guys trapping the area.  :(  I even tried to come in from the back side and ran into tracks and other peoples sets.   I guess I will have to get further out.  I use to run 150 miles one way to where I trapped but can't afford that anymore.  Most of the ranchers/farmers around Billings have had bad experiences with trappers in the past so they are against letting anybody do that...  I guess I'll try and sweet talk the wife into giving me more gas allowance...  ;D

Hope everybody has a Happy and Prosperous New Year...

+1 on the gas allowance, I feel the crunch as well.  Only allows me to get out maybe once or twice a week..... dang that hurts.
