I'm considering adding a synthetic stock of some type to my SB1, cutting the barrel back to 18", threaded for screw chokes.  ONLY if I can get a good recoil pad fitted!  I can tolerate a bit of "kick" but only so much!  Thanks for any info on this, I don't want to run into any road blocks in the middle of my mods.

Limbsaver makes a prefit for the synthetic stock, I have a couple of them, they fit just fine.

Thanks for the reply.  Sorry tho..guess I'm dense, are any of the three pads/stocks listed compatable with regular shotgun frame?  Those listed are for Handi Rifles, Slug Hunter, none specifically for the SB1 shotgun.  I confess being ignorant when it comes to the ins and outs New England firearms.  I am trying to make up for lost time, though.  I am sorry that I seem to need someone to hold my hand and lead me around.

All H&R single shots use the same frame design(SB1, SB2 rifle, SB2 shotgun and SS1) so all stocks fit universally, some forends are different tho.

Thank you, sir!  I really appreciate getting info from someone that actually knows.  too many times I've tried things that didn't work, just cost me money for nothing!
