The .17HM2 is alive and running in my house. I have a custom Savage FV and about 4000rnds of Eley. I'll be good for many years to come, especially when you only need one shot with this "little puprle pill". People have been trying to predict this little rounds demise for years but it just keeps going. I firmly believe that if the HM2 came out before the HMR we would all be using it and have many many many semi's out their. Just look at a few converted 10/22's. Rimfire Technologies just released a new High end barrel for it that claims outstanding accuracy. Put all of that on top of getting very similar performance to a HMR at 1/2 the cost still today, It'll be here next year, the year after, etc
