someone who knows how much blackpowder Hughes Breechloading Cannon use?
And how heavy is the cannon ball.

The Hughes is shooting a 1.56 Zink projectile that weighs 1.6 oz and uses 3oz.of 1F Black powder. That is the max that chambered it for. Have shot a few 2oz. as well.
The gun was not really finished until near the end of the season. The new year will bring more serious work.

Zink projectile that weighs 1.6 oz ?  it was a light projectile? or should it be 16 oz  which is a heavy projectile.?

Must be a typo, since a round zinc ball of that diameter would weigh almost a half-pound. An elongated projectile should weigh more (unless it's hollow).

I must say the gun has fine performances,
Is so good that someone takes care of such historical weapons.

Where can we get hats like that?  Black hats are ideal for blackpowder shooting of course.

  S&S Firearms usualy has a cheaper version of the black hat. That is a stripped version of the standard issue dress hat of the 1850's and 60's. Hardee.
