I have a question. I have a couple of low pressure caliber barrels, a 44mag and a 45/70 that I swap to other frames I have. I would like to get another stock set and receiver, but to transfer a receiver in Cali runs $70 and up.
I saw that Big 5 (a local sporting goods store) had Topper shotguns on sale a couple of weeks ago for $125. I was thinking that might be a way to get another frame, and I could sell the shotgun barrel if I wanted to.
Question is, I know in the past there was an issue with the firing pin being larger on the shotgun, is that still the case? Any other issues I am missing? I know I need to keep to a low pressure caliber, but for what I have I think I am OK.
Thanks for any insight.
