My brother and I are driving from Dallas to Nashville this weekend, hope it is gone by then. If it's not I'll have to drive, since he has never driven in snow. And he will be leaving his fingerprints in the dash all the way.
Up here in Alaska when we drive we are always playing around. Everyone cuts broadies in the parking lots, just for fun. Yesterday the Ford Dealer was at a luncheon with me. We were talking about the new vehicles. He told us we could not cut broadies with the new Ford Truck. That the anti skid feature would not let you. We all had to try it. Darn, the truck would not spin. It would just kind of squat, the engine would slow down, and it would go straight. They are taking the fun out of driving on snow.
Last night I was driving my son's car. I decided to go back in the other direction. I just snatched up the emergency brake and spun the car 180 degrees. Guess the son was not expecting it, he screamed, did a little cussing, threatened to get out and walk. Darn, he is just like his mother, not into having fun. I usually do that two of three times a week when I am driving around by myself. He and his mother both say my trucks don't know how to go straight, they are always going down the road sideways, because I am playing around. Life is too short, have some fun.
