i'm run'n out of places to shoot hawg's !!!

here in baldwin county, the land owners are not let'n us hog hunters shoot there
hogs.... cus tha dang foreiners are steal'n there cattle...
that jus ain't fair !!!! we know the difference in hogs and cows.

anyone know of some hog's to hunt in baldwin county... we eat'um
and don't let'um lay for the kiyots.

Most all of the Delta just above Mobile has plenty of them if you want to hunt there. You will need a boat to get out to where they're at. You have to be out of the boat to hunt though.

when the tide falls 4 feet in 1 hour

i have hunted the river swamp for 45 years.. and i learned the hard way, more than once.

I have hunted the Alabama River Swamp for a few years now on my in-laws land here around Jackson, but the water has stayed so high that I haven't been able to hunt the lands I have permission or my own.

you know southeast of jackson, around amax oil fields...
i have hunted them for years on both sides of the bama river.
the oil company might have changed hands by now... bout every
3-4 years they get bought out by somebody.
you got some fine grounds there !!!!
my spread is on north shore side of bon secour bay (bycor swamp).
bottom,east side of mobile bay.
we got hawgs but its too populated now to fire the 45/70 !!!!
and too many livestock

The land I was talking about is the Tensaw Delta area north of the causeway. It contains 53075 acres to hunt on and is loaded with wild hogs. But if that is a problem for you to hunt there, I don't have any other suggestions on any areas close to where you live.

I'm interested in hawgs to shoot in North Alabama....  Brother in law had some but they seem to have gone to better feeding grounds...  Could be tempted to drive south!

If you can find land to hunt on on either side of US 78 north of Graysville and south of Sumiton around the river near Sayre and on over to the West Jefferson area, there's an abundance of them in that area. A hunting club in Sayre from what I have been told through the grapevine illegally stocked some on their club some years back. Now they are all over the place and spreading faster than Kudzu. My daughter has killed several and she told me that she has seen as many as 20 or more together, not once but several times. Her neighbor wrecked her car and was in the hospital for a few days when she hit one on US 78 several months back. Most every county in the state now has wild hawgs.

A good place to consider would be Lowdnes Co. Wildlife Management  Area.  It is 12K acres on the AL River/Bear Creak Swamp.  I haven't hunted there. having land else where, but my firewood guy's son works for AL Dept of Conservation and I talked to him about hogs.  He manages the Lowdes Co area and said it was eat up with pigs!.  They even have summer hunts to shoot them to control the population.  I worked the swamp area as an ABC Agt fo years and we always saw hog sign in the swamp and along the AL River when looking for stills.  (Brought a couple home too in a State Car truck!)  Some the area is boat-only accessible, which bodes well for a hod or big deer hunter.  The Dept of Conservation Phone # is on the web for more intell.

i chased one them critters for bout 2 hours after put'n a crusher m/b in tha sweet spot...
he was just too mean to drop. he sure was fine eat'n
