other barrels on a 45 colt carbine
« on: January 02, 2010, 03:41:08 PM »
Haven't found any information in a search, but I am assuming that the factory can mount a higher pressure barrel on this frame (say a 30/06). Yes?

That should be an SB2 frame (check FAQ's), so it should not be a problem.  Are you selling the .45 colt barrel?  :)  44 Man

I checked the FAQ and could not find information confirming that this frame is an SB2. Guess I'll have to call the company, but sometimes it seems that the person giving out the information there may not know exactly what he or she is talking about.  ???

The CR45 Carbine has the same SB2 frame as the Handi, it's just got faux case coloring.  ;)

I'll take your word for it. It is coming new to my local mom and pop.

Thanks for the feedback.

Watch out LM, $300.00 for a barrel might be a little high!   ::) :D

Picked up my 45 Colt Carbine this afternoon after school.  :)

After fondling it for a few minutes, I am now having some doubts whether I want to sell the barrel. Sure is light and Handi.  ;D

Also received in the mail today, a walnut straight stock and snable forearm that will be a part of the 25 Remington when Wayne York finishes reboring and rechambering a Hornet barrel.

A lot to look forward to this Spring, which will be long in coming...It's -10 degrees out there as I type this.
