My first is a superlite which started out as and remains a good shooter. I have a Boyds thumbhole stock on it and a Weaver 4x with a post scope. It shoots my 60 gr. Hornady HP's on top of 26.5 grains of AA2520 very nicely, 1to 1 1/4 inches at 100 yards. This is a truck gun to be used for raccon elimination, possible deer and feral hog gun if it is all I have handy. The second is a standard contour barreled gun I put a Nikon 3x9 prostaf scope on. I also silicon pad bedded the forearm. It shows cratered primers with the loads that are just fine in my other gun so I backed off half a grain and dropped the bullet weight to 50 gr. Sierra blitz and52 gr. Sierra BTHP match. This gun required that I resize as fully as humanly possible to get headspace right but I ran into a problem there in that the extractor wouldn't reach far enough to go into the extractor groove in the case. I took the barrel off the frame and set the muzzle on a couple of outdoor magazines, then slapped the extractor a few medium whacks with a small plastic mallet, problem cured. Finally getting to some shooting I find the new loads are both tackdrivers. My backyard range is now 75 yards ( I mowed the garden and moved the bench back) and I have no problem shooting groups as small as 3/8ths of an inch. In fact I shoot a bullet hole then shoot at it and generally hit that hole! This is working out as I plan on using this rifle as my prairie dog gun next spring.
