I don't care what most of you feel about me!!!! I know some people here hate me. I have never done anything to those that do hate me here. I am not in a good mood and have not had a drink since 12-30-09. For those that do not drink that is not a big deal. For me it is. This is about the longest for years. The doctor got me on Ranitidine for acid reflux. The good news I have been heart burn free for a few days now. Dale

Now as far as hating you I don't hate anyone. As far as your drinkin, go ahead. I don't care. Drink till you slosh. W ;)on't affect me at all.

This is true Dale because we were born in the flesh. You can bind & cast a lot of these demons though through the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Just find a good spirit filled Church and you will always find him there. You will still have temptations cause you still are of the flesh but repentance is much easier.

Demons indeed and you are correct sir. Hang in there Dale. I quit drinking because I choose to. I still smoke cigarettes and if I had to quit for health reasons, like you have had to stop drinking, I would not be easy to get along with. I tell everyone that it's the last bad thing I do and yes Dale it helps me deal with my demons.

Tis true, tis true. Both that we all have them and that for the most part we don't talk about them as freely as you do here. I don't however think that your subject line is as true as the quote below.

If you really didn't care then you'd not get so upset when folks don't react the way you'd have liked or hoped to your posts. Think back to how desperate you were for me to let you back in when I banned you some while back.

You're just going thru a rought patch like we all do and we all get down and out at such times. Ya just gotta man up and trudge on thru never the less. But don't take acid reflux too lightly it is more serious than most who've not got it realize and taking over the counter meds for the most part ain't the way to deal with it. I tried it a long time myself before getting proper treatment. Barrett's esophagus is a sure fire road to throat cancer. If you smoke also and I think I recall that you do that's just a double whammy leading to cancer of the throat. Get it checked out properly, yeah that's gonna be expensive but what's yer life worth to ya?

When people spill their guts to anyone that will listen it is often a signal they need help in a big way . True some only want attintion while others online start a fake topic. But as humans lets assume this time its for real . Dale seek both medical and spritual help before you pass the point of no return . You have taken the first step by calling out . Take the second by getting help from someone face to face not on the computer .

DALE. I'm glad you seem to have a handle on this. I worked in a liquor store for 8 years. A lot of the old customers are now dead, thats the only way they quit. For the most part you are among friends here, there are a few here that know it all, mostly learned from books and not real life. Hang in there and don't forget to pray. Still praying for you. Theres a big difference between being open and honest and being rude and disrespectful. There are a few here that don't know the difference. Good luck friend. Charlie.

other than close friends  (which i don't have many) or close family, i usually don't care what anyone thinks. of course, some think i have an attitude problem. other than that i try to do what i think is right and try to be polite and to heck with the rest.

I promise AA can help, i stopped drinking 10-15 times, always decided no one
cared if i stopped and i was not hurting anyone but my self. People at AA
have been their and give you a place to lean,(on them) made me realize i had a family that cared. What happens to the family when one member drinks like
i did is not good. I have no doubt people can stop drinking without AA, but
AA makes it so much easier, lots of people to listen, and slap you around verbaly if need be. last drink 3/8/98

Well Dale, as you will soon be finding out there is a difference between liking to drink and being an alcoholic. With any luck you are in the former camp, you'll just have to learn of some other way to enjoy yourself after work. If it's the latter, well that sucks, but guess what? It can be beat back, you'll have to work your butt off to do it and it won't be easy either. Hardest thing is replacing all of your drinkin' buddies with something else, but it must be done.

Why are you so concerned if people here like you here or not? I personally could care less if people like me here or not. And thats a good thing for me because most don't. I would be one unhappy SOB if I worried about it.

I say what my opinion is and if people don't like it, too bad. If people are okay with my opinion, that's okay too. When you spill your guts, your going to usually fall into one of two camps.... camp 1 is your camp. Camp 2 is not.

GOD has a plan for every one of us, we don't know the what, where, when or why but then again we're not supposed to. Life is just plain hard sometimes but it's still part of HIS plan.

I quit doing drugs and booze over 30 years ago and I remember it well.  It was not the most fun I ever had. I went to AA/NA for a couple years and I had a big problem with the "God" part of it. [I'm not a believer in a personal God.] However, what AA/NA did for me was priceless.  It taught me that I am not special and I could get through it. For the last 25 years, I haven't even thought about booze or dtugs although I do show up at an AA/NA mmeting about once a year just to remind myself that I am not special. My wife likes a glass of wine about once a month and it doesn't bother me at all.  She can handle it; I can't and I don't even want to go back there.

By the way, I don't hate anybody.  I don't have any time for that kind of negative energy.
