Burris® Fullfield™ II 6.5-20x50 Ballistic Mil Dot Reticle Scope                                                                           Is this a good scope to put on a Rem 700   30-06.

I guess it really depends on your hunting situation.  That said, even if your average shot is 400 yards away, a 20x magnification for shooting a whitetail deer out of a .30-06 does seem a bit much.  You might want to consider something in the 4x-16x range at most.

I own a couple of Burris Black Diamond scopes.  I also own many other brands - Leupold Vari-X and the newer VX-IIIs, Bushnell Elite 3200s and 4200s, Nikons - both Monarchs and pre-Monarchs, Nightforce NXS, Zeiss Conquest, and others that I can't recall right now.  That said, I am not a fan of Burris.  My two favorite scopes are Nikon Monarchs and Bushnell Elite 4200s and the Zeiss Conquest.
