The Smith Long Range sight will, ya got an extra $160-$200? See Long Range Sights for the BC and Target in the FAQs.

I'm currently working on a lower cost option for a Handi rifle rear sight. I'm not going to go into any details about the design yet.

When I have production parts available I will set up my company as a paid sponsor here on GBO.  ;)

I have this on a 32-20 Marlin. it would easily fit the dovetail in the handi 45colt barrel... Its a copy of an early Winchester ladder site.

Everytime I shoot it I think of "Gus McCray" from lonesome dove shooting across his saddle, while lying on the ground shooting at some of "Blueducks" braves. Remember the guy dancing like a chicken thinking Gus would never beable to hit him? Gus plugged him square in the chest. Yup, I like a good western...

That looks just like the Smith sight without the base, but I'm pretty sure the Smith is a replica of an older sight.

I am unsure of manufacturer as it has nothing stamped on it. I picked it up at a gun show some years ago.

As for the tang sites, generally I love them... on guns with a tang,. Hands don't have one... I have mounted a couple for people using wood screws, but don't recommend it....

We had acouple of baby kittens show up in our yard sick with feline flue. We nursed them back to health and named them Gus and McCall. Good mousers they are.

There are SO many great analogies one can take from it and not to mention some quotes from too.

Now that I think of it, I think it needs to be dusted off and viewed again... if you haven't seen it, its definitely one to see!!  GREAT for a snow day!!

Sorry for the hi-jack.

I seem to remember the Blue press from Dillion carried these sites some time back... maybe you still could get one there.

Peace,
