rcbs high shell holder

I am looking into reloading some 40 cal and was wondering if i would be able to use the tall rcbs shell holder in my rcbs Jr press to shorten the stroke or do i have to use the short one? I haven’t reloaded handgun bullets with this press so any info would be helpful.

Other than It won't cam over, I see no reason why you couldn't.  Can't see why you would want to shorten the stroke though either.

Just thought maybe wrong but that instead of having to make the full stroke on every shell the taller shell holder might speed things up a little on the short cases.

I never take my right hand off the press handle. I always stop about half stroke. Remove the sized case and the put an other in with my left hand . Has never been a problem for me..

thanks for the info i will just stick with the plane holder.
