My elk hunt was a success...
« on: October 30, 2003, 02:47:19 AM »
Thought I would drop in and share a picture of my elk hunt... I got a 4 X 4... Not the biggest bull in the woods, but plenty of a trophy for me to be sure... Remington 700 .30-06, Hodgdon's IMR 4064 powder and a 180 grain Barnes XBT bullet. Shot was about 50 yards or a tad more and quartering away... Bullet went cleanly through both lungs and the exit on the far side was just behind the right shoulder...
