Does this count?

Is it handgun hunting if you're bird hunting and wearing your .357, if your dog brings you a live possum.  Then jsut sits at your side holding it like a good and proud retriever.  So, if you say "give" and grab it from him, throw it a few feet draw and shoot it, is that handgun hunting? ;-). If not please move to the appropriate section of the board.

No!  It isn't handgun hunting, it is simply pest control with the description you have provided and we don't have a forum for that here.

Kind of humorus though (unless it is your dog)... ;D >:(...can be hard enough to get em to leave rabbits alone sometimes let alone Opossum's  :o

I had taken great pains to make the perfect fox set once and returned to find an Opossum in that trap  >:( >:( it growled and hissed and I did the same thing to a larger extent as I then finished of that pest with the barrel of the H&R .22 convertible...hardly any satisfaction here as that trap had to be pulled for boiling before being put back in service.

Sorry for contributing Mikey, I do believe that this thread could take off if moved to the hunting & shooting general discussion forum though.

Mikey, while true, this thread was meant for the humor.  I wanted to kill a deer all year w/ a handgun, but all I ended up with was a stupid possum.

 I went Truck hunting ? ? the other night and took a possum myself
