Kayak camping thru Mammoth Cave National Park

Evening.... grab some popcorn and a drink... the pictures you see here were takin by myself on kayakin trips on the Green River thru Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky.

The river flows for about 20 miles through the park

Yes, you can camp along the flood plain, there is no charge to camp but you have to get a camping permit. You do not need a fishing license to fish the river thru the park.

You can camp along the river or on the islands.

All that is left of the old homes in the park are a few stone fireplaces, this is the best one I have found.

There are hundreds of caves in the deep woods of the park, all are off limits.

This is the Nolin River it flows to the Green River from Nolin Lake.
