Is the Winchester 1400 with Win-Chokes rated for steel shot?
I’d like to use Hevi-Shot in it.

Thanks

Uh, yeah.  I think you can use anything you want in the modern Winchesters... what's the worst thing that can happen?  You blow the whole thing up and you're out $18.00 and you can put that money towards a decent shotgun.

I'm not sure what your concern is though.  Only the older guns with tighter chokes had trouble with steel, and most of that was hype.

I would use whatever I wanted in it, as it has no collector's value - it's value is as a shooter, and if it can't be shot with what's wanted, what good is owning it ?
