Why do I ask ? Why do I Make this Claim !
Well a Nurse I know and a BadBama voter was asked by Yours truly
How many Case's are you treating at work and
Do you think it's really as bad as we're told ,

Do you think its a Scare tactic so we will like

I truthfully think we have no more than the usual Flu case's we get every flu season
and
have to assume they are of the swine strain because we no Longer test for H1
BUT Its real !! I know because, we started to get Flu like systems and some Flu's in our office
well before the real Flu Season Started maybe as early as August

We have had 3 people out of our church who were hospitalized with confirmed cases of H1N1. One of these nearly died, but she did not go for treatment until almost too late. My youngest daughter also was confirmed H1N1 but she is strong middle age woman and went for treatment early she recovered quickly.

Having said that, there are many different flus and some are more deadly than other. I'm in the high risk catagory and get a flu shot every year. This year I took both the seasonal & H1N1 shots. So far I've Not gotten sick and I seldom do.

I believe H1N1 is real but has been around for years it's just this year the Media is playing it up. Flu vacines are a guessing game and some years the flus they think will come don't but others do. Here in SE alaska the cruise ships bring every flu from all over the world into our area so who knows what I might be exposed to. So I take whatever shot is offered.

And, with that being said, your friend is right. They do NOT test for swine flu, unless the patient actually dies from it. Or, the doctor absolutley insists on a test. Treatment isn't any different than normal flu.So, they really don't know how many cases there are. And, one thing that hasn't been publicized, if this form of swine flu mutate's just a little bit, the vaccine you got last month, doesn't work. Surprise!! gypsyman

The wife is a school nurse, she had it back in early November...Our flu season is late December to mid-Feb...That's another reason there is no reason to test for it...If you are in the Southeast and had the flu in October/November then it was swine flu...

Nothing Obama can do about it as unless you get really sick it just plays itself out...

I haven't gotten it, but I got the shot (I got it free through work since I'm technically the assigned person to babysit our computer systems in the event of a hurricane or other disaster that activates our EPD, so I got classified as "essential personnel"

I know others who didn't get the shots who didn't get it, and I know others who didn't get the shot who did (2 people specifically).

My mother works front desk in a doctor's office and while they haven't seem some huge pandemic, they have seen a decent number of confirmed swine flu cases come through. It's certainly not fake, but it's not much worse or more common than regular flu. That's what most educated sources were saying since the beginning though. To be honest the most hype I've seen coming from it has been from "regular" people gossiping. It's a different strain, it needs a different vaccine, but other than that it carries the same risk as "standard" flu. That CAN be fatal, but usually only to young kids and the elderly. Might as well get the shot though. Having had (regular) flu once, I'd prefer to not suffer THAT again (I know the shot isn't a guaranteed thing, but it does drastically reduce your changes of getting the flu).

That's the case with all flu vaccines though. That's why you have to get a new one every year. They basically have to formulate it each year to fit that season's flu. For $10 and 10 minutes, I certainly don't mind reducing my chances of coming down sick. Not that it'd likely be fatal (based on what some local kooks have been saying you'd think swine flue was like catching the bubonic plague

), but it's still not going to be pleasant.

I think it was a public relations mess thanks to the Federal government. The government took sound precautionary warnings from epidemiologists and twisted them to create a form of mass hysteria.

Our health-care provider gives both types of shots for free, so I took em. Since they have no reason whatsoever to favor bama-care, I would doubt that they would be snookered into participating in a fraud. By the way, this isn't some little podunk health-care outfit--they are huge and have all of their own doctors etc.

As far as I know, this area has had no abnormal number of flu cases; we've had our share, but nothing out of the norm and no fatal cases that have been published.

I think they tried to see How fast and How Paranoid they could get the US Public
and if it worked well enough they would use other scare tactics in the future to sway
Public thought which is already in Play IMO
