well, followed what the papers in the mold said.

For some reason, every now and then I get a bullet that's wavy and looks layered. What's causing this?

You may not be filling the mold quickly enough or the mold and lead may not be hot enough.

now, there is a cloud over the top of the molten lead. Especially right after I scrape off the junk.

It happens to the best casters , so don't be too concerned . As for the cloud , that may be from having the pot too hot and the TIN starting to float , once you clean the trash , give it a good sturing and that should mix everything back in .

9 times out of 10 wrinkled bulets are caused by either the alloy or the mold not being hot enough. Try casting a bit faster.
