2,000 Marines to Haiti
« on: January 14, 2010, 03:25:06 PM »
What's wrong with that picture? The Army would be a better choice, wouldn't it? Stabilizing an area is what they are good at after the Marines have overrun an area and taken heavy casualties, isn't it? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

(If we have to send somebody, I think it should be the IRS. At least all the dying people wouldn't feel so bad about their fate if they were confronted with an army of IRS employees.)

Soldiers is soldiers.  We do what we are told to do.

Yeah, well sending Marines when reservists would do, 2 month stint and back, is just plain stupid.
A couple Engineering companies from Army reserves would be noble, and let other countries contribute. I'm sick of this stuff...

Another couple days there with no food or water and 2,000 won't be enough.

Maybe they are going to cull the herd!

Does that man kill some black people? Shoot folks who've lost their families and homes and children? Is that something you'd like to see?
