I've seen a number of instances where union members were being screwed over my mgm't and Union leadership worked behind the scenes against the worker(s).  There is huge corruption in union leadership in my experience.

A couple of years ago the Los Angeles Unified School Dist. screwed up its payroll and unionized teachers got greatly reduced pay checks and, in some cases, no pay checks at all.  The Teachers' Union didn't lift a finger to help them and sat on the side lines.

Free trade has always been a tool of globalists to destroy nation states and lower wages to the lowest possible level.

I think everyone just needs to relax. The Republicans, and Democrats aren't going to change, and voters aren't going to either.
The Republicans promise this, the Democrats promise that, the voter votes them in, and everything is business as usual.

That may well be true Dee, but I see some good coming outta this obama fiasco. I am seeing people rise up, take to the streets and raise hell! Look at Massachusetts, they may well not elect a Democrat, first time since 1972. Yea i know they may elect a republican, and I'm not sure he is a conservative but he aint a soscialist from what I can tell. Maybe just a small gain but a gain none the less. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel and it may not be a train!  Maybe the same people that are voting now will hold them all to a higher standard from now on.

I don't see electing a Republican in Massachusetts any type of mile stone, small or great. The state is so liberal, that the Republican would have to also be so liberal, that it would make the term RINO look like a Thomas Jefferson.
People are once again setting themselves up for the big scam, by thinking a Massachusetts LIBERAL, calling himself a Republican, is going to change something. It never ceases to amaze me. How could that possibly be considered any type of gain? He's just another Republican, and being from Massachusetts, is probably more liberal than McCain. It's just like this election. "The Democrats ONCE AGAIN changed the rules to even hold this election", it was supposed to be an appointment (REMEMBER?), and the voters let them get away with it.  SSDD

All you guys keep votin Republican and tradin yours and my freedoms away, for your imagined TRADE OFF BIT OF SECURITY, and when all our freedoms are finally COMPROMISED AWAY, then maybe you'll all be satisfied.

FOR ALL YOU REPUBLICAN FOLLOWERS THAT "CLAIM TO BE CONSERVATIVE" AND SAY AN INDEPENDENT VOTE IS A WASTED VOTE. CHRISTIANITY STARTED WITH ONE MAN. HELL! THE HOOLA HOOP, AND THE SKATE BOARD STARTED WITH ONE MAN.
AND INDEPENDENCE STARTED WITH A HANDFULL OF MEN.

                                                            FRANKLIN WAS RIGHT!

All of that is true, however this vote could change Health Care for all of us. There's not a 3rd person that I know of of any sign. anyway. To me all should be done to stop this Govt. HC takeover. If his election does that, fine & dandy. Then start preparing for a 3rd party guy to beat Brown in the next election if he proves to be a typical Yankee Lib Rep. (and most Southern ones too). It would be kinda silly to think this could not be done, 6 months ago who would have thought a Rep. could win. No time in thios election for an alternate plan.
You will not make peace with the Bluecoats, you are free to go.

Well Cabin I guess the solution is to pay you $1 or $2 an hour like you Chinese counter part makes, then we can compete with them.
That is exactly what big business and our socialist government wants. I was a union man when I worked. I did not like the fact that they could use my dues to back politicos I did not like, but I did not want to work for $2 a day, like my dad did before John L. Lewis and the UMWA.

It’s not a matter of what government or business wants. It’s simply a matter of what the markets are demanding. I don't like it but no Union, business or government can change this dynamic. It’s simply a matter of competition in what has become a global labor market. If the government tries to mediate the market, it will only have a negative impact to a greater degree elsewhere in our economy. The only way to counter act the off-shoring of labor/production jobs, is to ensure the total landed product cost is equal or less when done on our shores. There are added inventory holding costs, logistics & distribution costs to bring products back to the USA from China. In any case, most product companies are global so manufacturing in low cost China and then distributing to the EMEA, APAC and Americas from say Hong Kong makes perfect financial sense. In this day and age, there is so much pressure to reduce costs as a survival process, it just continues to happen. Corporations/business all over the world are going to exploit low cost labor markets to grow or simply stay in business. The key, get yourself out of the production labor market.

Both my wife and I worked for 2 different employers each in the last 20 years! We both have public school jobs now! But when we were working in the private sector! We both worked for family run business's! After the parents passed away from these business's and there kids worked there also! The Kids (Baby Boomers) took the money and ran and sold out the business! My wife and I have been unemployed twice in 20 years! Happy to be with a union and a stable job for now! We know nothing is totally secure! I fear for my kids finding work after education!  Dale
