My prayers are with you!  They have this surgery down now, it is almost a routine thing for some surgerons so it should go well.

I had my first by-pass in 1990, I recently had a stress test and was told that I performed like a 22 year old man, a few days later I received a phone call from the doctor said there was something abnormal with the test results.  He scheduled me back and did a CT scan to see if there were any restrictions of blood, I haven’t got the results back on that yet.  If that doesn’t show blood flow I will have an angiogram.  I am afraid it means opening me up again.

What’s odd is that I feel wonderful.  I told the doctor that the day before my last visit I had dragged a 300 pound hog about seventy-five yards, loaded it in the truck and hauled it off for the buzzards. (I didn’t want to leave it on my place to attract the coyotes.)

Had my by-pass surgery in January 2003,  if you will do exactly what they tell you, (and Good Lord Willing), you will be punching keyes in about seven days max.  A friend had surgery a year prior to mine and did not follow instructions and he is still having problems. LOL

Prayers to you and yours,

torpedoman, prayers are sent. Don't push it to much in the first few days. Time to relax, and and take it easy. Look forward to hearing from you in a couple days. gypsyman

One of my wife's quilter friends just had hers done.  She told her daughter that she wasn't feeling too good so the daughter ran her into ER and discovered that if she waited a little longer (a few hours) she wouldn't have made it.  The local hospital (who doesn't do these procedures) loaded her on a helo and sent her to the best place for the operation.

She went through the procedure, is back to quilting and says that she hasn't felt this good in over a decade.

Prayers going out for you T-Man!  Get-er-done, get well and get back here!

Thanks Guys, it looks like i made it, the recovery is a lot more involved than i thought it would be and i really hate doing nothing but i'm looking at it as a trade for doing more later. In all reality I'm a very lucky guy who took his buddy to the doctor and decided to get some very minor things checked out while i was there, I would have never made a special trip and appointment to get them checked. Make sure to get the little things checked out the surgeon told me that the first real noticeable symptom of  a problem was dying of a heart attack for over 50% of us. Thanks and take care Gene

Well glad to hear it Tman! Yep the recovery is slow at first but it beats the alternative! You'll be playing the piano in no time at all!    ;D
